| Abstract/Contents: | "The physiological and biochemical indexes, including electrolyte leakage, soluble sugar content, free proline content, malondiadehyde content, soluble protein content, and chlorophyll content of leaves, stems, and rhizomes of three varieties of Zoysia japonica were trace-determined in natural temperatures. Varietal trends of cold-resistant characters were comprehensively assessed by weight and the order of cold-resistance from high to low was: Z. japonica cv. Lanyin No. 3 followed by Z. japonica cv. Jiaoda No. 1 and thirdly by Z. japonica cv. Qingdao. Our results showed that electrolyte leakage, soluble sugar content, free proline content, malondiadehyde content, soluble protein content, and chlorophyll content could be used as suitable indexes for cold resistance of Z. japonica." |
