Abstract/Contents: | Numerous tests in turf (Agrostis, Festuca, Poa, Lolium and Phleum spp.) in the USA, Ireland and the Netherlands showed that control of creeping speedwell (Veronica filiformis) could be 85-90% following spraying with chlorthal dimethyl ester at 8-10 kg/ha; usually 30 days elapsed before toxicity symptoms appeared. Mowing 1-3 days after treatment reduced effectiveness and applications made when V. filiformis was not actively growing resulted in poor control. |
