| Abstract/Contents: | "Mefluidide (N-2, 4-dimethyl -5- [[(trifluoro methyl)] sulfonyl] amino] phenyl] acetamide) effectively controlled vegetative and reproductive growth of five turf-type tall fescue (Fescuea [Festuca] arundinacea (L.) Schreb.) cultivar's and Kentucky 31. Mefluidide and ACP-1911 (chemistry not released) also showed good activity on 14 Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) cultivars. However, magnitude of responses were cultivar-related, particularly with Kentucky bluegrass. This variation among cultivars in response to these PGRs complicates the task of making rate and other PGR recommendations by turfgrass species only." |
