| Abstract/Contents: | "In a greenhouse experiment, inoculations of 500 and 1000 Belonolaimus longicaudatus Rau, 1958 in 6-inch pots of Leon fine sand reduced growth significantly and caused severe chlorosis of common St. Augustine grass (Stenotaphrum secundatum) during an 8-month period. Root weight was reduced 62 and 69%, respectively, for the two infestation levels during the same period. In another test, an inoculation of 1000 Trichodorus christiei Allen, 1957 reduced growth 25% and root weight by 49% during the 5 ½ months." |
