Abstract/Contents:"Helminthosporium spiciferum (Bain.) Nicot was found to cause a stem and crown necrosis of Coastal Bermuda grass Cynodon dactylon. Infection occurred only where an aqueous spore and mycelial suspension was injected suspension was injected directly into stems and crowns of healthy plants. Relative importance of the disease in Alabama is undetermined."
