| Abstract/Contents: | A study was conducted to evaluate the phytotoxicity of fenoxaprop (Acclaim) on 18 varieties of Kentucky bluegrass. They were Enmundi, Sydsport, Cheri, A-34, Victa, Bonnieblue, Mystic, Trenton, Eclipse, Baron, Bristol, Merit, Majestic, Adelphi, Ram-1, Glade, Touchdown, and America. The experiment was designed as a two factor factorial with a split. The area was mowed at 1.75" and fertilizer, fungicides, and water were applied as needed. After fenoxaprop was applied, evaluations were recorded at 1 week intervals, from 1 to 4 weeks after treatment. The above variety list is in order of least injured to most injured. The Enmundi variety of Kentucky bluegrass was the only variety unaffected by Acclaim at the 0.25 lb/A rate. The variety America showed the greatest phytotoxicity. All varieties had recovered after 4 weeks after application. The table lists 18 varieties, and the effects of two application rates and the check. |
