Abstract
(Thanks to DTRF) | "Het sportveldtype van de soort Engels raaigras is de belangrijkste grassoort voor grassportvelden. Door veredeling zijn er ook fijnbladige Engels raaigrassen gekweekt, die een bijdrage kunnen vormen om golfbanen met een hoge bezetting in een goede conditie te houden. De resistentie tegen betreding gecombineerd met de steeds belangrijker wordende kiem- en vestigingssnelheid van het sportveldtype maken Lolium perenne zeer gewild. Engels raaigras heeft door het kweken van fijnbladige rassen eigenlijk een nieuwe toepassing gevonden in golf. Sporttypes werden en worden op fairway gebruikt; de fijnbladige types zijn een kandidaat voor de green en worden incidenteel gebruikt" |
