| Abstract/Contents: | Climatic factors influence the ecological conditions on slopes depending on the angle of inclination and the direction of exposure. Slopes facing N or S are used as examples to demonstrate different effects involving light intensity and soil surface temperature, which, in turn, affect conditions for grass seed germination and plant development. A diagram demonstrates the complex effects of solar radiation on temperature, humidity, transpiration, development of the vegetation cover and metabolism, for a S-facing slope. |
