| Abstract/Contents: | RP-17 623 [4(2,4-dichloro-5-isopropoxyphenyl)-2-t-butyl- 1,3,4-oxadiazolin-5-one] at 2-4 lb, A-820 (dibutalin) at 3-9 lb and GS-13 638 [4-isopropylamino-2-methylthio-6-t- butylamino-1,3,5-triazine] at 6-9 lb/acre were applied in April, 1971, to a Kentucky bluegrass-red fescue lawn turf before the emergence of Digitaria ischaemum and compared with the standard treatments of bensulide at 10 lb and chlorthal and siduron at 12 lb/acre. All herbicides except GS-13 638 obtained 1 or more ratings of 90% control of D. ischaemum and no herbicide injured the turf or affected the species composition of the turf.
