Abstract/Contents:States that "On the whole, employers find that older workers are on time and on the job. Most employers say that older workers are loyal, rarely absent and tend to have fewer accidents in most kind of jobs. As a group, older worker may draw fewer health benefits than their younger counterparts. Research conducted by the United States Department of Labor and other agencies and organizations support these findings." Provides criteria for employers who want to reduce the likelihood of litigation and who want to capitalize on the wealth of wisdom and experience that older workers can bring to jobs.
