| Abstract/Contents: | "In pot and field experiments carried out in 1994-97, the effects of foliar application of gibberellin and paclobutrazol on Poa pratensis cv. Conni and Festuca arundinacea cv. Arid [grown as turfgrass] were studied. Application of 125 kg/ha of 30-40 mg/kg gibberellin was effective for growth and greening in early spring, while paclobutrazol and uniconazole could effectively inhibit the growth of grass and thereby reduce mowing frequency. The effect could last for at least 3 months." |
