Abstract/Contents:"Dissections of the alimentary tract of two of the more important mole cricket pests in the southeastern United States revealed different feeding habits. A total of 411 nymphs and female mole crickets, field collected from grass and sand habitats by drenching with pyrethrin solution, was examined. Scapteriscus acletus Rehn and Hebard was observed to be principally carnivorous and S. vicinus Scudder to be herbivorous."
