Abstract/Contents:C-6989 [fluorodifen], C-6313 [chlorbromuron], Tenoran [chloroxuron], Patoran [metobromuron], Planavin [nitralin] and Sindone [4,6-di-isopropyl-1,1-dimethyl-5-propionylindane + the 7-propionyl isomer] gave good pre-emergence control of annual weeds without injury to bahiagrass [Paspalum notatum], bermudagrass [Cynodon dactylon], centipedegrass [Eremochloa ophiuroides], St. Augustinegrass [Stenotaphrum secundatum] or zoysiagrass [Zoysia sp.]. Azak [terbucarb], Betasan [bensulide], benfluralin and trifluralin gave good control of Poa annua without injuring Tifgreen, Tifdwarf and Everglades No. 1 bermudagrass. Application was best made a few days before germination.
