| Abstract/Contents: | The application of Tenoran (chloroxuron) in the autumn controlled moss in lawns early in the following spring, whereas spring applications were effective after about 14 days. The average application rates ranged from 5 to 10 kg/ha, the lowest rate giving adequate control. Injury to the lawn grasses occurred only with excessive doses; they had ample opportunity for development and quickly replaced the moss. Tenoran (chloroxuron 50%) at 5 kg/ha, applied in autumn, controlled moss in lawns early in the following spring, whereas spring applications were effective after about 14 days. Injury to lawn grasses occurred only with excessively high rates. |
