Abstract/Contents: | "Named after Fabio Frullini, the municipal stadium of Chiusi has been remodelled and has acquired a totally new appearance. Everything has been upgraded: bleachers, locker rooms, party area and, above all, the field itself, which is now covered with a bright expanse of artificial grass. Inaugurated in September, the field has a grass cover consisting of 100% two-tone green polyethylene monofilaments shaped as a double reversed sickle with central ribbing. This latest generation product ensures excellent performance and unique softness thanks to the use of innovative polymers, which do away with all dermoabrasion problems. Of special interest is the level of resilience attained, which remains constant over time thanks to the special central ribbing. A thinner ribbing on the sides, accompanied along its entire length by a supporting core which can be seen with the naked eye, improves the 'memory' of the element, which immediately resumes its original shape after being stepped on. A slightly thinner diverging leaf reproduces the irregular shape of natural grass blades and enhances the softness of the artificial turf. The stabilisation infill consists of silica sand, whilst the performance infill uses coloured, ecological SBR granules." |
