| Abstract/Contents: | "Magnesium deficiency of Emerald zoysiagrass (Z. japonica x 2 tenuifolia) was investigated using a water culture system. MgO concentrations used were 0, 5, la, 20, 30 and 40 ppm. Observations were made on leaf color, length and width, number of nodes, shoot length and weight and root length and weight. Destinctive [Distinctive] mg deficiencies occurred at the 10 and 5 ppm concentrations. Leaf color was lighter green at the 20 ppm than at the 30 and 40 ppm concentrations. Leaf and shoot length, shoot weight and number of nodes varied in relation to MgO concentration." |
