Abstract/Contents:"Varieties of Lawngrasses which can be used for many different purposes are of greater importance. Turfgrasses therefore should be abel [able] to be used as well in extensive lawns without cutting as under intensive conditions. People should know something more about treatment under sport-turf conditions. To get a good information about the different lawn qualities, the breeder uses simple combined test-methods. In our breeding station of the DSV the new developted [developed] material was sown in a long-parcel of about 2 m in the broad and 7 m in the length. Cross to the length the different treatments were applicated. In this way it is possible to get the following informations from each plot: 1. A stripe of about 2 m remains without any cut and gives information about the behaviour under extensive conditions. 2. A stripe of about 2 m will be cut 2 - 3 times during the vegetation and is comparable with extensive treatment. 3. A stripe of further 2 m will be cut every week and high fertilised like greens. 4. A further stripe of 1 m is treated with a roller every week to get informations under sport-turf conditions. For each treatment there were given notes. The different managements in the plots are variable and can be completed by other questions. The combined test plot is very suitable to answer many questions about lawn grasses in one plot."
