| Abstract/Contents: | A brief summary of the mainternance performed on the turf surfaces of sites in Rome, Florence, Cagliari, Palermo, Turin and Mailand to prepare them for the World Soccer tournament. The existing turf at these sites needed to be completely replaced with sod, which was then fertilized with great care to insure the fastest possible anchoring of the root systems into the ground. The maintenance was sufficient enough to see to a high quality of turf that posessed enoug wear and tear to withstand the competition. |
