Abstract/Contents:"[Objective] The aim was to screen appropriate lawn varieties and species combinations from cool-season lawn species.[Method] The characteristics of 11 species in three grass,Midnight,Conni,Blue chip and Merit belonging to Poa pretensis,Cochise,Firdedragon,Eldorado and Avalon belonging to Festuca arundinacea,Sakini,Derby and Taya belonging to Lolium perenne,were analyzed.Then 6 species belonging to 3 grass(Midnight,Conni,Cochise,Firdedragon,Sakini and Derby) were confirmed to carry out the observation and planting test of 8 combinations by random arrangement with 3 repeated.[Result] The results showed that all of 6 species could be grown in north transition zone as the fine lawn varieties.Firdedragon 50% + Midnight 30% + Sakini 20% was an ideal combination because of its best landscape effect,longer lawn green period,higher resistance to stress.[Conclusion] The study provides a scientific basis for extending lawn lifetime and improving its sight."
