Abstract/Contents:"According to simplex-lattice design, fly ash, peat, sawdust and rice husk were mixed together in different substrate ratios to study their effects on the growth of tall fescue. The results showed that except seedling density, other parameters including seedling height, tillers number, ground coverage, shoot biomass and underground biomass were significant difference in different treatments (P0.05). Among all the substrate mixtures, T2 with the volume ratio of fly ash, peat, sawdust and rice husk were 2:6:1:1,and T9 with the volume ratio of fly ash, peat, sawdust and rice husk were 2:4:1:3 were the best. T2 performed the best on shoot density, coverage and underground biomass while T9 performed the best on tillering and shoot biomass."
