Abstract/Contents:"Water shortage and pollution are becoming serious issues and the water utilization pattern is increasingly complex. The traditional research methods can not meet the demand for fully analyzing the utilization of water resource for golf course. The concept of water footprint has expanded the research minds of water resource for golf course. Applications of water footprint in agriculture have provided a large number of cases for the research of golf course water footprint. Through the survey of water footprint on turfgrass management and club operations, managers can truly understand the actual water consumption of each unit and categories of water footprint. Measurement of water footprint on a single round is a good consumption guide for players. Application of water footprint theory is a good way to reflect the actual water consumption in golf course. It can provide theoretical bases for social media and relevant government departments, and make them better understand the use of water for golf course. It can also benefit the use of regional water resource and promote the sustainable development of the golf industry."
