Abstract/Contents: | "A greenhouse pot experiment was carried out to evaluate the feasibility of three turfgrasses: Lolium perenne, Festuca arundinacea and Trifolium repens for the phytomanagement of textile dyeing sludge. The sludge was mixed with soil at proportion of 0, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% (w/w), respectively. This experimental result showed that good responses were observed among them, improved physical and chemical properties of the textile dyeing sludge, all parameters were respectively lower than before. The chlorophyll content increased in the amount of textile dyeing sludge. Compared with the control, the total chlorophyll contents of L. perenne, F. arundinacea and T. repens increased by 50%, 97% and 42%, respectively, under the condition of 100% textile dyeing sludge. However, there has been a decrease in the root activity of L. perenne, F. arundinacea and T. repens, which are 28%, 29% and 43%, respectively." |
