| Abstract/Contents: | "The paper studied the effects of simulated acid rain stress on ecological and physiological characteristics of Agrostis stolonifera L. CV. Yuexuan No.1. The results showed that as the pH value of simulated acid rain reduced, the stress of simulated acid rain on Agrostis stolonifera L. CV. Yuexuan No.1 became more serious. Degree of visible damage in leaves increased, chlorophyll content decreased gradually, photosynthesis rate, transpiration rate and water use efficiency also declined gradually. At pH value 2.0, Agrostis stolonifera L. CV. Yuexuan No.1 had been damaged dramatically. Its chlorophyll content, praline content, photosynthesis rate, transpiration rate and water use efficiency got reduce by 23.74%, 51.57%, 80.62%, 74.52%, 40.67%, all the differences reached significant levels." |
