| Abstract/Contents: | "The effects of gypsum application on alkaline soil. improvement and Zoysia japonica turf establishment were studied. The results showed that the seedling number, density, height and coverage of Zoysia japonica turf increased along with the gypsum application rate. The number of seedling (8 058.5 seedlings/m2), density (7 511.2 plants/m2), height (46.2 mm) and coverage (92%) were 1.6, 1.7, 1.6 and 1.4 times of CK respectively while the application rate reached the theoretical value of soil demand. There was an increasing trend in seedling number, density, height and coverage while the application rate reached 6/5 or 7/5 of its theoretical value." |
