| Abstract/Contents: | "Five wild-types of Agrostis stolonifera L. were collected in Guizhou (named No1; No.2; No.3; No.4; and No.5 respectively) with one introduced variety (Putter as control) were studied in July, 2008 to develop new varieties with strong drought and heat resistance. Total chlorophyll content, chlorophyll a content, chlorophyll b content, electrolyte leakage and free proline content under drought and heat stresses were measured. Both drought and heat resistance are comprehensively evaluated according to these 5 indexes, Results show that the drought and heat tolerance are ranked as No.4 > No.2 > No.1 > No.3 > Putter > No.5." |
