Abstract/Contents:"[Objective] The study aimed to enhance the transformation frequency of Kentucky bluegrass. [Method] With shoot tips of multiple bud multiple as transformation target, the factors which influenced transformation of Kentucky bluegrass mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens were studied. [Result] Higher percentage of resistant buds (hygromycin-resistant buds / infected buds) was obtained under the following conditions: shoot tips were infected in Agrobacterium suspension of OD600=0.6 supplemented with 0.1 mmol/L acetosyrigone for 5 minites under 50 kPa pressure, and the highest percentage of resistant buds reached 15.19%. [Conclusion] The transformation efficiency was affected by the concentration of Agrobacterium suspension, vacuum infiltration and acetosyringone(AS) induction."
