Abstract/Contents: | "[Objective] The study aimed to discuss changes of osmotic adjustment substances in the leaves of Eremochloa ophiuroides (Munro.) Hack. at the natural low temperature and its relationship with the plant cold resistance. [Method] With the heat-season turf grass E. ophiuroides Cuilv 1 as tested material, it was comprehensively dealt with 27 treatment combinations by using the split-split plot design with 3 factors (potassium fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer and paclobutrazol) and 3 levels, and the effects of different treatment combinations on the osmotic adjustment substances of E. ophiuroides were compared. [Result] The changes of osmotic adjustment substances including contents of soluble sucrose and proline in the leaves of E. ophiuroides among 27 different treatments were all extremely significant under natural low temperature stress. The contents of osmotic adjustment substances in the leaf cells of E. ophiuroides were relatively high, which could delay the plant aging and extend the green period of turf grass under the treatment of A2B2C2 (7.5 g/L potassium fertilizer, 8.0 g/L phosphate fertilizer and 1.2 mg/L paclobutrazol). [Conclusion] At the natural temperature, the optimal combination on fertilizer and growth hormone could promote a large number of accumulation of osmotic adjustment substances in turf grass of E. ophiuroides which provided the guarantee for smoothly over winter." |
