Abstract/Contents: | "By measuring physiological indexes such as relative plasma permeability, relative activity of superoxide catalase (CAT),the content of free proline and malondialdehyde (MDA) of 3 paclobutrazol (PBZ)-treated Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon) cultivars (Common, Jackpot, Savannah) leaves subjected to cold stress by treating them with 5° C for 12h.The results show that: the relative activity of superoxide catalase (CAT) of 3 cultivars increased in PBZ treated plant, and the content of free proline, relative plasma permeability and MDA decreased in PBZ treated plant.200ml/L and 300ml/L PBZ induced increase in bermudagrass' capabilities in cold tolerance and protect them against low temperature. Among three PBZ treated cultivars, PBZ treated Common is best adapted to cold conditions, and then Savannah, the last one is Jackpot." |
