Abstract/Contents:Bandane [polychlorodicyclopentadien isomers] on vermiculite (10% a.i.) at 35 lb, bensulide at 10 lb and DMPA at 10 lb a.i./acre, applied pre-emergence in autumn or spring, all gave effective control of crabgrass [Digitaria spp.] with minimum turf injury. Spring treatments of nitralin [4-(methylsulphonyl)-2,6-dinitro-NN-dipropylaniline] granular at 3 lb/acre, siduron at 12 lb/acre and terbutol (2,6-di-t-butyl-p-tolyl N-methylcarbamate) at 10 lb/acre were also effective and safe. NC-5651 [composition not known] at 8 lb/acre showed promise.
