| Abstract/Contents: | "In football, summer always is the period of retreat for athletic training in view of the restart of the championship. Also this year some of the most important teams have chosen the Trentino Alto Adige for their summer camp, choosing facilities to accommodate them to the fullest. Before the arrival of the teams was to perform a series of actions to bring the fields in top condition and designed to ensure maximum results also in terms of practicality. This is because of the grass of the field, usually used by local teams even in poor weather conditions, presented themselves degraded with loss of many plants, especially in the most used area. To restore the density of the grass, especially in the training camps who had more sparse or bare areas, they then proceeded with a perennial ryegrass overseeding using the dual characteristic: fast germination and growth and suitable for supporting the game of football in quickly. The cutting programs, established to stimulate a correct tillering, involving 2-3 applications per week. It intervenes with helical gear cutting, to minimize the cutting stress to the turf compared to other systems, to maintain constant the height of the grass and induce an optimum proportion of the adult plant." |
