| Abstract/Contents: | "After more than 80 years old clay court has given way to the modern sports turf facility with artificial turf that the Salesian Youth POL Arborea wanted to give their athletes, over 140 members from the category little friends to the students, the football field to move with the times. The surface used is the 50-mm monofilament type, with performance infill is ennobled rubber granules. The mantle, after routine maintenance, is guaranteed for 10 years. The work, in addition to the field makeover, involved the renovation of the locker rooms, the replacement of the lighting lamps with new LED light towers, and the rebuilding of a part of existing structures such as bleachers and perimeter fences. Taken place between the end of 2015 and last spring, involving a dozen people of the management team of POL, who have dedicated their free time working on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until the day inauguration. Despite the great work of the leaders of the generosity of many local businesses who for various reasons have contributed to the system, nothing would have been possible if the local bank had not decided to intervene in support of the initiative with significant funding. The first activities of the new mantle have seen the performance of the traditional overnight summer soccer-a-seven tournament reserved for amateurs. The tournament, one of the longest in Sardinia, is now in its 56th edition." |
