Abstract/Contents:"Effective and efficient management of a turfgrass-based enterprise is more than just achieving and sustaining an acceptable level of turfgrass quality through the application of cultural principles and practices; it also involves meeting all of the general and location-specific economic, social and environmental needs associated with the enterprise. This, in turn, is facilitated by a holistic and multi-faceted approach to enterprise management called "system thinking." The objective of this paper is to provide insight into what systems thinking is and how it might be applied to turfgrass management."
