| Abstract/Contents: | "New Zealand is a country with a comparatively small population and therefore a small sports turf industry by international standards. The only way of providing an effective advisory service for this industry has been for sports turf user groups to unite and fund a centralised organisation, the New Zealand Turf Culture Institute. The structure and running of the Institute in terms of funding, staffing, and range of services offered is discussed and is considered to be a highly satisfactory model for small countries where individual sports turf user groups are unable to sustain a dedicated advisory service." |
