Abstract/Contents:"The study was conducted to compare heat resistance of 16 Kentucky bluegrass. Turfgrass quality, relative electronic leakage, chlorophyll content, soluble protein content and leaf relative water content were determined after heat stress. The results showed that, in a growth condition of 38/28°C (day/night), as heat stress maintained, leaf relative conductivity increased on the whole. Turf quality decreased and the chlorophyll content was reduced. The same tendency was observed in the leaf relative water content. However, the soluble protein exhibited firstly a decrease, then an increase. Cluster analysis showed that EverGlade, Award, Midnight and Brooklawn had the highest heat tolerance."
