| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the responsibilities that the golfer and the superintendent share when using the golf course. Addresses certain damages they each inflict onto the turf and list ways they can go about lessening their impacts on the course. Notes the different areas that undergo the most abuse including the turf, putting surface, and sand traps. States that most of the injuries occur from golf carts, taking divots, golf spikes, foot traffic, and litter. Concludes by stating that "by carrying out his responsibilities, the golfer will certainly add to the betterment of his golf course." |
