| Abstract/Contents: | "It is generally accepted that a rolled-lawn, which has grown on a loamy soil, could not at all enroot in a sandy RTS or only under great difficulty. However, it is nowaday [nowadays] no longer possible to make out such a statement without a doubt after such an experiment. Furhtermore, [furthermore] the fertilizer put at the very earliest possible in the RST allowed a better growth of the loamy rolled-sods in the sandy RST. An advantage of the loamy rolled-sods was that they were able to hold longer their nutrients and so give a better color to the lawn at the end of the test than at the beginning. Important characteristic data during this period of tests were among others the grass growth and height, the dry mass of the roots, the length of the roots and some other ratings too." |
