Abstract/Contents:"The WaterMyYard program was created to provide simple weekly irrigation recommendations for homeowners by providing irrigation runtimes rather than irrigation amount (inches) needed. In its first two years of operation, the program has shown great potential for water conservation. However, more detailed analysis of homeowner actions and non-actions, such as irrigation schedules used without any recommendations are needed to better quantify the water savings potential of providing irrigation recommendations to homeowners. This paper will discuss the implementation of the WaterMyYard program, verification of the methodology for calculating irrigation runtimes and potential saving of providing irrigation recommendations towards quantifying landscape water conservation."
