| Abstract/Contents: | "Turfgrass research trials conducted by Monsanto field development personnel from 1986 through 1990 with dithiopyr were summarized. A low use rate of 0.56 kg ai/ha dithiopyr (EC formulation) provided effective preemergence and early postemergence (prior to tillering) control of crabgrass in testing conducted in warm-season turf in the South. Late postemergence (after tillering) control of crabgrass with 0.56 kg ai/ha dithiopyr was effective when applied in tank mixture with 1.12 to 2.24 kg ai/ha MSMA. Addition of non-ionic surfactant to the spray solution improved postemergence control of crabgrass with dithiopyr." |
