Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the following topics concerning triclopyr: acute toxicity, chronic toxicity, secret "inert" ingredients, environmental fate, and effects on nontarget organisms. "Publicly available information indicates exposure of humans and laboratory animals to triclopyr-containing herbicides causes eye and skin irritation; increase in the frequency of fetal death; and kidney damage. In the light of what is known about triclopyr, and more importantly what is not known, development and implementation or viable alternatives to the use of triclopyr is necessary." |
