Abstract/Contents:"The name buffalo grass is commonly used to describe two grasses utilised as turf, both of which are common to the United States and one of which is found within the coastal regions of Australia. Buffalograss is known in the United States as (Buchloe dactyloides), which is a warm season perennial grass, however in Australia it has the name (Stenotaphrum secundatum), which is used in maritime locations." Stenotaphrum secundatum is known as St. Augustinegrass in the United States.
