| Abstract/Contents: | "The intended purpose of this analysis is to find out whether it is possible to improve the water infiltration rates on the Nieper Kuhlens golf court thanks to a tending strategy with various machines. Two machines, the Verti-Drain 7117 and the Planet Air Tri-Fecta, were utilised as a depth loosener as well as for surface treatment according to their technical specifications. Only a few changes during the whole processing were obvious because of the unexpectedly good initial values. It was so possible to observe that a well-balanced maintenance perfectly adapted to the location was the most effective way to get a resistant golf play ground. Furthermore, both machines were of an utmost importance in the maintenance with regard to the water infiltration rates, permitting so the regeneration of the golf tee. The Verti-Drain 7117 has a positive impact as a depth loosener while the Planet Air Tri-Fecta shred most effectively the biomass on the soil surface" |
