| Abstract/Contents: | Ten seedlings were planted in each 1-gal capacity pot of loamy sand. Benfluralin at 2 and 4#, bensulide 15 and 30# and chlorthal 10 and 20# significantly lowered rhizome yield; there were no significant differences between rates. Root weights were significantly reduced by bensulide and terbucarb (10 and 20#). Only calcium arsenate at 396 and 792# significantly reduced clipping yields. No treatment reduced crown weights. |
