Abstract/Contents:"The hydraulic sprayer which has a tank, pump, boom and nozzles has been around for many years. It has performed a useful function in the application of a wide variety of spray products." Since the boom sprayer has been so successful it appears that it will be around for some time into the future. The following are discussed: how nozzles work, calibration, nozzle wear and tear, know your nozzle pressure range, nozzle-to-target distance, and new technology.
