Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how steel spikes and spiked golf shoes can severely damage cool season putting greens and have negative effects on ball roll and playing quality. Suggestions are given to replace steel spikes with "Soft Spike" and to wear spikeless golf shoes for more satisfactory golfing conditions. |
