Abstract/Contents: | If reducing the pressure requirement of an irrigation system does not affect the uniformity and efficiency of the system it could be economically efficient to reduce it. By reducing the pressure requirement the amount of horsepower required to run the system is also reduced which results in the conservation of energy. By conserving energy it could reduce energy costs hence causing costs of operating the irrigation system to decrease. Factors are discussed concerning energy conservation and energy cost savings. |
