Abstract/Contents: | A lot of golf courses convert their tee and fairways to perennial ryegrass because it is a more traffic resistant turf species. However, most recommended fertility levels for perennial ryegrass are for mowing heights near 2 inches. A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of nitrogen fertilizer, rate of nitrogen application, and potassium application on the development and growth of perennial ryegrass mowed at fairway height (1 inch). The details and results (visual quality and clipping production ratings) of the study are given. |
