Abstract/Contents: | In trials in 1973 most herbicides were non-injurious to creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris [= A. stolonifera[) turf when applied in 1 in. of irrigation water but diquat and dichlobenil each at a concn. of 1 ppmw. caused slight damage in some area. In the following year in which herbicides were applied in irrigation water in a number of sequences, treatments tolerated by the bentgrass turf included 2,4-D-dimethylamine and chlorfenac each at 2 ppmw., copper sulphate, a copper sulphate-triethanolamine complex and endothal each at 1 ppmw. and diuron at 0.25 ppmw. |
