Abstract/Contents: | "Winter injury generally results from combinations of factors and not a single factor. Winter injury may also reflect an accumulation of stress over an entire season leading to a less hardy plant. Obviously, the objective of a post mortem is to properly identify those limiting factors so that management practices can be adjusted in hopes of reducing future injury." Factors of influence included traffic/soil conditions, mowing height, slope direction and severity, moisture, cultivar, and minor stresses. Also considered the fertility of the land. |
