Abstract/Contents:There has been a growing interest in seed coating since companies are seeing production benefits. "Precision field seeding in the U.S. combined with greenhouse transplant production in Europe created a complex demand for high quality coatings. The three basic types of coating (pelleting, film coating, encrusting) and treated seed are defined. The type of application equipment used for seed coating is discussed.
