Abstract/Contents:"Much like a planted seed, the application of the ISO 9000 Series Standards to the management of a comprehensive quality system begins with the proper environment to properly germinate, root, mature and benefit from the fruits of the harvest. The ISO 9000 series is a 'ground up - heads down' process. It sets the foundation on which to build an efficient, effective quality management systems for all parts of a company. The ISO 9000 series is a generic set of standards that helps companies create a common set of quality elements consistent with 'common sense' practices. This set of standards can be ultimately used by any service or manufacturing business. The elements of the ISO 9000 standards need to include all personnel within the company from [the] executive level down." Also discusses to other series standards ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 which are identical to ISO 9000 with two major exceptions.
